Important concepts/definitions

Marketing: the activity of communicating, mediating and exchanging supply, targeted at customers or business partners. It involves selecting target markets, identifying, attracting, retaining and increasing the number of customers.

Customer value: the benefits that the customer expects from a product or service, providing added value.
