INTRODUCTION

In this unit  we provide a brief overview of how we interpret the concept of social enterprise in the SAGA project and what the main characteristics of social enterprises are. After completing the unit you will know

  • what is social enterprise
  • what are the differencies and similarities between social enterprise and for profit enterprise, what does it imply setting up a social enterprise
  • what does it imply setting up a social enterprise

We recommend to continue with the 2nd unit of Module 1.: Identifying opportunities in empty Europe related to gastronomy, culinary heritage and food.
