Important concepts/definitions
Empty Europe: specific regions located in Europe with pressing issues such as unemployment and economic and social revitalisation;
Gastronomy: the study of the relationship between food and culture, the art of preparing and serving rich or delicate and appetizing food, the cooking styles of particular regions, and the science of good eating;
Culinary heritage: a term that incorporates the origins of food related activities of a certain society or cultural group;
Networking: the exchange of information and ideas among people with a common profession or special interest, usually in an informal social setting.
